Un progetto di introduzione della meccanica quantistica per i laureati in matematica
The article presents the general lines of a project on quantum mechanics developed for a 32-hour course in the context of pre-service training of Secondary School Teachers in mathematics & physics. The students had a degree in Mathematics and had never met quantum mechanics before. The project introduces the ‘vector’ formalism of QM starting from the classical theory of harmonic systems. Many aspects of the quantum description of phenomena can be pointed out exploiting the positive and negative sides of this formal analogy. Finally, the conceptual misunderstandings that often affect elementary textbooks on quantum mechanics are commented.
