Hai voluto la bicicletta? Un percorso didattico interdisciplinare
Our effort is to teach physics concepts to secondary school students through a laboratory approach, giving a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary view of the topics explained.
This article illustrates a didactic project carried out in two third year classes. Starting from a familiar and concrete object such as the bicycle, the activities carried out made it possible to review and consolidate the concepts of motion and energy. At the end of the activities, the students created a model that simulates the mechanism underlying the functioning of the bicycle. The students had to exploit their theoretical, digital and manual knowledge and skills to observe, to collect and represent data, to design and implement the model. This also gave meaning to mathematical concepts such as ratios, proportionality, functions, circumference and circle by applying them in a real context.
