Costruzione di modelli: un software per la meccanica newtoniana

A teaching approach to Newtonian mechanics emphasizing dynamical modelling is presented. The approach extensively uses a software allowing students to simulate motions in one dimension and to relate observational kinematics characteristic to dynamical interaction models. An example of how the software can be used in teaching is also discussed.
