Correzioni alla legge di Stokes per la misura della viscosità di un liquido
The viscosity of a viscous medium can be found by measuring the terminal velocity of small falling spheres and applying Stokes’ law. The experiment is didactically interesting and easily performed in school, but because of the finiteness of the medium edge effects produce theoretical and experimental difficulties. In order to obtain acceptable values of the viscosity coefficient corrections for edge effects must be introduced.
