Argomentare su temi scientifici nella scuola
One of the declared aims of school science is to help the students gain some basic abilities for a fully aware citizenship. For example science can provide some tools for judging the acceptability of incoming information and for deciding and acting socially and as individuals. The author contends that learning science without exercising some argumentative activities in the school might not be enough towards the achievement of these aims. The results of a Spanish experience on argumenting in the school (reported from another journal) indicate that implementing this kind of activity requires a cooperative effort involving the teachers of scientific subjects and of the mother language.
